Hale is all about going in for the most convenient and may appear shallow and bubbly to strangers she meet. Although there are rare instances that she acts all serious and distant, these are but fleeting moments soon covered up by another handful of lies if one is not quick enough.

In effect, she has a habit of often wearing moods that are almost playful in its essence. Easily attaching herself like a bacteria to anyone who offers her opportunities or anything that places her in a favorable situation while giving back as little as possible, she could become quite a handful; all loyalty remaining is thankfully intact only to her gang.

Growing up an only child, Hale was spoiled by her single mother. After the death of their neighbor's husband; Hale's real father, they moved to different houses, Hale to different schools - until finally settling after the mother remarries. Like an average teenager, Hale constantly seeked distractions from all the major changes she had to go through because of her mother's impulsive decisions. Eventually landing herself a spot in a gang spurred by the same passion she had for murals, a gang partly beneficial in helping contribute to their family's daily expenses.

" You look just like your father. "

the single mother would dote on her daughter. Hale grew up knowing her father died a few years after she was born and has always been her role model, at least, from the stories her mother would tell her. Unlike other rabbit children who had trouble when it came to acceptance of people around them in general, Hale was spoiled by all the love a middle class mother could give, thus able to blissfully ignore all subtle prejudice society could throw at her. They only had each other, but to Hale, it was more than she could ask for.

One uneventful day, gradeschooler Hale was called out of class.

"She said, your neighbor had an accident.." the teacher explained.
" And that's the urgency I was called out of class for?" 12 year old Hale raised a brow.

Confusion clouded her until she reached the hospital, directing her straight to the morgue.

"Come and see him Hale, pay your last respects properly.." her mother's voice was hollow.
"Ew, no -- it reeks of dead rotten rat.." the girl whined.

"He's your real father."

Hale listlessly reached for the cloth that covered the corpse's face.

"Isn't he the husband of our neighbor, Mrs. Almondae?" .
And just like that, all of Hale's attachment to her father was gone.

Abruptly, starting her highschool, they transferred into a new apartment, and then after a few years, to another. Until it seemed like a routine to change addresses within the year. When asked about it, her mother would tell her that her work required them to transfer, an excuse Hale didn't believe; in fact, she has stopped believing any word that came out of her mother at that point in time.

It would sometimes disconcert Hale whenever she'd spend time with her mother as the rumors she heard, suddenly made sense to her. What she used to defend with conviction as a kid was now a mere afterthought. Gradually accepting certain realities, she resorted to vent her frustrations through part-time jobs, college, krav maga, group studies, cheap online shopping or anything just to distract herself.

Squatting down the pavement and spraying what was left of the paint can, it was one random day when Hale picked up a used spraypaint lying near a freshly done graffiti; leaving an odd feeling of satisfaction. From there, creating murals became an outlet from the stress of dealing with her finicky mother who recently remarried to alleviate their worsening financial problem.

Occasionally going on midnight escapades to find a place for her murals. A task which became increasingly difficult, the reason being..

"Hey! Who said you could paint here-- this is our turf!"

them, acting like kings of kingdom graffiti or whatnot when they're just a group of streetkids who have the same hobby as her. After a few more encounters and squabbles with them, a 'gang member' threw in a suggestion.


"Why not make her join us instead?"
